The bombing occurred near a taxi and bus station where men who had submitted applications to join the army were preparing to return to their homes.

The blast followed another against army recruits in the capital on Thursday, when a suicide bomber detonated an explosives belt, killing 23 people.

In Anbar, the Iraq army continues its campaign to strike ISIL terrorists group and regains control over several areas in Ramadi as the premier Nuri al-Maliki asked some countries to support the Iraqi crackdown against terrorism.

Al-Maliki asserted that everybody must join the battle against terrorism.
