Iran's Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said that "grounds are now well prepared for expansion of all-out relations between Iran and Turkey.
Leader made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday.
Since the two sides are determined to implement previously-inked agreements, this will consolidate their ties and bring them more development and prosperity, said the Leader. The two sides should seize the opportunity and make use of existing opportunities to consolidate bilateral ties, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Turkish PM, for his part, conveyed the warm greetings of the Turkish president and nation to the Leader and said he regards Iran as his second home.
He described his meeting with President Rouhani and other Iranian officials as fruitful and promising and expressed the hope that the two sidesˈ relations would turn into an exemplary model for the region and the entire world.
Signing of a document on expansion of cooperation between Iran and Turkey should be regarded as a significant move, he said, adding that through exchange of more visits bilateral relations will further broaden.
