Lebanese Army seized on Thursday morning a car loaded with arms in the Bekaaist town of Ersal, National News Agency reported.

The car, a white Renault Rapid, was full of arms and ammunitions, according to NNA field reporter.

The agency noted that three people were inside the car, adding that they were arrested.

According to media reports, Ersal has been a center for transferring explosive-rigged cars from Syria to Lebanon. The area has been also witnessing smuggling militants from and into the conflict-hit Syria.
