Russia would like to see future inter-Syrian specific agreements stated in the form of a UN Security Council resolution, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said.
"If the parties reach specific agreements indicating some decisions on the political settlement and the future system in Syria, it would probably be preference if such agreements were stated in a UN Security Council resolution. However, it won't happen soon," Gatilov said.
Gatilov also said that "it is now too early to support the dialogue that has begun with any UN Security Council decision because we are just beginning to work on the issue and this work will take a lot of time."
"For this reason, we now need to focus on developing dialogue between the parties," the diplomat said.
