Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Monday that future talks between Iran and Group 5+1 would remarkably help further confidence building between the two sides.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Zarif expressed the hope that Tehran and Berlin would take advantage of the new opportunities created following the nuclear deal made between Iran and the world Sextet (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) in Geneva on November 24, 2013.
Meanwhile, the German foreign minister touched upon the latest developments in Syria, hoping that Iran would play its effective role in finding a peaceful solution to the crisis.
The two also discussed Iran-Germany economic and technical cooperation.
The 50th Munich Security Conference was held from January 31-February 2 in the German city with participation of some 20 head of states and 50 foreign and defense ministers.
