Syrian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Minister Waild Al-Moallem affirmed on Thursday that his delegation is determined to continue this round of talks with the opposition.
“We will pursue the talks with seriousness, readiness, and responsibility to implement Geneva 1 communique and resume dialogue on ending violence and combating terrorism,” SANA quoted Al-Moallem, who’s also Syria’s chief delegate to Geneva II Conference, as saying during his meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov.
“We are still committed to the political track according to Geneva 1 communique,” he said, adding that the Syrian delegation will attend the next round when agreement is made with them on its deadline.
