Al-Wefaq Islamic Association issued a statement in which it called the delegation to view the demonstrations that took place in Bahrain on February 15 and to check the raised slogans in order to ascertain the level of abuse and intimidation practiced by the authority against the peaceful citizens who advocate the human rights.

The statement also noted the arrest of five of the chanters during the protests because they freely expressed their opinion.

In a related context, the Bahraini regime authorities arrested the representative of Wefaq association in meetings with the international delegation.

The Bahraini Observatory for Human Rights met the international delegation and called on a permanent existence for the Commissioner in Bahrain, what would help in protecting the human rights in Bahrain.
