The Bahraini police claimed on Monday that two homemade bombs exploded overnight in the village of Saar west of Manama as Bahraini police clashed with protesters.
The police’s claim came after a video was transferred showing the regime forces’ attack on a mourning ceremony in the village using poisonous gases and causing injuries and suffocations among residents.
The bombs exploded as "security forces were confronting acts of sabotage, blocking of roads and attacks with molotov cocktails," police alleged in an English-language statement published by the official BNA news agency. There were no reports of casualties but an investigation is underway, it said.
