The Lebanese Army detained on Friday Lebanese national at a checkpoint in Ain- El-Shaab in Arsal village over involvement in smuggling Syrian militants from Qalamoun region via Arsal to Lebanon.

The Army also detained 8 Syrians who were on board of a van vehicle.

Security sources mentioned that the so-called Ahmad H. is a member of the General Security service and that he has been smuggling Syrian militants for a long time, using forged documents.
