The Syrian flag was hoisted over the liberated town of Yabroud on Monday morning, as maintenance workshops started.
Official news agency, SANA, reported that maintenance workshops started rehabilitation to restore services to the city soon.
The agency added that electricity workshops were maintaining high tension cable networks which were sabotaged by foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists.
Syrian army on Sunday captured Yabroud, a former terrorist bastion in Syria near the Lebanese border which Lebanese security forces have said that many of the car bombs used in previous suicide car attacks originated from it.
A large number of terrorists, including a commander of the al-Qaeda-linked Nusra Front, were killed in the operation.
Liberating Yabroud would help the government and Hezbollah fighters secure the land route linking its Mediterranean coastal stronghold with the capital and choke off the militants’ cross-border supply line.
