The Lebanese army security plan’s zero-hour had started in Tripoli Tuesday morning with the launch of raids in the region including areas of Jabal Mohsen and Bab Al-Tabbeneh, according to Al-Manar TV correspondent.
The roads leading to Jabal Mohsen had been closed and bulldozers will begin the removal of bunkers and barricades. Army is using helicopters during raids in some hubs amid heavy deployment of military units in all areas of Tripoli and intensified patrols, he said from Tripoli.
The army cordoned off areas in Jabal Mohsen and deployed heavily around the offices of the Arab Democratic Party. Arab party leaders refused to publish any news about what is going on and left the Army to issue data on what is happening in the field.
A security source pointed out that the plan is proceeding successfully and quietly, pointing out that the army will enter Bab Al-Tabbeneh starting from tomorrow.
