Mass Rallies across Syria in Support of Army, President

In support of the Syrian Arab Army which confronts terrorism, and in celebration of the 67th anniversary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party’s foundation, the Syrian people took to the streets in different Syrian cities.

Marches and rallies took place in al-Mazra'a neighborhood, al-Afif square, al-Iskan street in Mazzeh, under al-Zahera bridge in Midan, in al-Amin neighborhood where locals from al-Shaghour, the Old City, al-Tabbaleh, and al-Qasa'a area gathered.

The participants carried Syrians flags, al-Baath Party flags, and posters of President Bashar al-Assad, affirming commitment to the values of al-Baath Party and that the terrorists' attacks will not prevent them from living their lives.

A number of officials participated in the marches, including Damascus Governor Bishr al-Sabban, Secretary of the Damascus Branch of al-Baath Party Jamal al-Qadri, and heads of the Damascus Trade Union, Doctors Syndicate, Health Directorates, in addition to members of the Women's Union, al-Baath Party branches, al-Thawra newspaper editor-in-chief, local dignitaries, and journalists.

Citizens in Sahnaya, al-Harjeleh, Jadaidet Artouz and Masaken al-Dimas in Damascus Countryside also took to the streets in rallies to show support to the army in combatting terrorism.

Thousands of citizens in the areas of Sahnaya, Ashrafiyet Sahnaya, Harjala, Jdaidet Artouz, Masaken al-Dimas and the surrounding areas in Damascus countryside took to the streets to show support for the Syrian army in the war against terrorism and to mark the anniversary of al-Baath Party foundation.

Waving national and al-Baath Party flags and President Bashar al-Assad's posters, the participants vowed to remain loyal to their homeland and party, expressing readiness to offer sacrifices until eliminating terrorism.
