For its part, the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects denounced the assassination as a blatant crime aimed at destabilizing the situation. The association called on authorities to bring the criminals to justice.

Sheikh Sleiman was shot last Wednesday as he was leaving a memorial service for an aid worker who was killed earlier last Monday during a clash in the Palestinian refugee camp of Mieh Mieh near the southern coastal of Sidon.
