China on Tuesday condemned the United Kingdom for interfering in its domestic affairs, in response to a human rights report, Reuters said.
The British government listed China as “a country of concern” in its annual human rights report last week.
It said increased curbs on freedom of expression, association and assembly, including “the forcible suppression of ethnic unrest in Tibet and Xinjiang” were observed in 2013.
China also called off a round of the two-way Human Rights Dialogue that had been due to hold in London on Wednesday.
