The Syrian Army continued operations against the armed terrorist groups in many areas across the country on Tuesday, killing huge numbers of terrorists and destroying their hideouts, assembly points and weaponry.

In Homs, army units, in cooperation with the national defense forces, achieved significant progress in the old city of Homs and advanced towards the neighborhoods of Jouret al-Shayah, al-Hamidieyh, Bab Hood and Wadi al-Sayeh, according to source, SANA news agency reported.

A military source told SANA that numbers of terrorists were killed in those areas, with several of their dens destroyed.

Meanwhile, units of the armed forces eliminated scores of terrorists in series of operations against their hideouts and gatherings in various areas of Homs countryside.

A military source in the province said that the army units destroyed a number of cars equipped with heavy machineguns and a stolen fuel tank in the area of al-Houla.

The source added that the army targeted terrorists’ gatherings in the areas of Ein Hussein, al-Amryeh and al-Dar al-Kabira in Talbeseh, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying a vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun.

In Idlib, a military source confirmed that the Syrian army targeted terrorists’ gatherings in the areas of Kifr Najd, al-Rami, Kifr Lata, Tal Isfeen, Tal Karima, al-Neirab, Failoun, al-Douseh, Sarmeen and al-Rouj in the countryside.

The source added that a number of terrorists, many of them of the Uzbekistani nationality, were killed or injured in the process.

In Aleppo, numbers of terrorists were also killed and others were injured in areas in of al-Lairamoun, Kweires, al-Jadideh and the Industrial City, SANA quoted a field source as saying.

The source noted that many of the terrorists' dens in those areas were destroyed along with the weapons and ammunition inside.

Army units destroyed cars loaded with weapons and ammunition to the west of Aleppo Central Prison and in the villages and towns of al-Atareb, al-Mansoura, al-Raei, al-Bab, Babis and Kafr Dael. The terrorists inside the cars were killed.

In Daraa, SANA reported that the national military hit terrorists’ gatherings and hideouts in Otman, Samleen and al-Nou’ema in the countryside and killed and injured a number of terrorists.

The Syrian army also ambushed members of a terrorist group in the area near al-Yarmouk School, killing and injuring all of the group’s members. Another unit targeted terrorists’ vehicles in Daraa al-Balad and managed to kill and wounded a number of terrorists.
