In Damascus Countryside, an army unit discovered a factory used by the armed groups for manufacturing explosives, rockets and mortar shells in Assal al-Ward and al-Matmoura area in al-Qalamoon.
In Homs, a military source told state-run SANA news agency that an army unit destroyed a den for the leaders of armed groups along with all terrorists hiding inside it in Bab Hud neighborhood in the old city.
The army also killed and injured terrorists to the east of the building of the civil affairs and al-Zahabi street in the neighborhood.
It also regained control over a number of buildings to the north east of al-Walidiyeh school and schools gathering in Jeb al-Jandali neighborhood.
In Homs countryside, army units confronted with gunmen trying to attack military checkpoints in Tal Amri, al-Meshrefeh, al-Ghasbiyeh, Tal Qatri and Ein al-Dananeer, killing 40 terrorists and injuring others, among them 5 commanders of the armed groups.
Other military units destroyed terrorists' vehicles, a weapons and ammo cache, and a rocket launcher in the villages of Manoukh, Jeb Jabal Tadmur, and Habra al-Gharbiye, eliminating a number of terrorists.
A hideout used by terrorist groups' leaders was destroyed as well in the village of Deir Fuul, and an explosive device weighing 200 kilograms planted by terrorists in the village of al-Ghasbiye was dismantled.
Also on Monday, the national military targeted terrorist gatherings in Oum Sehrij, Abu al-Tatabir, Habra al-Sharqiya, al-Bardeh, al-Jomaqliye, and Talbiseh, eliminating many terrorists and destroying their vehicles, while other units eliminated terrorists in the areas of Ein Hussein, al-Sa'an, Hosh Hajo, al-Ghajar, Taloul al-Hawa, al-Ghanto, Oum al-Serj Qebli and Oum al-Serj Shamali.
In Aleppo, a military source said that army units killed scores of terrorists and injured others in the neighborhoods of al-Jaberiyeh and al-Layramoun, the area of al-Ma'amel in al-Sheikh Said neighborhood, al-Kastello, Aleppo Old City, Saif al-Dawla and Al Berri area in al-Nairab.
The source added that terrorists were inflicted heavy losses upon in the villages and towns of al-Jdeideh, Tal Refaat, Daret Ezza, the surrounding area of Aleppo central prison, al-Ramouseh, al-Tamoura, al-Hajeb, Koroum, al-Dweihi, Khan al-Asal and Damascus-Aleppo road in Aleppo countryside, destroying heavy machinegun-equipped vehicles.
In Daraa, army units killed numbers of terrorists and wounded several others in the city and its countryside.
SANA said that army units targeted terrorists’ gatherings in Nawa, Son’a al-Hamam and al-Jisri in al-Lajat area and Atman town in Dara countryside, killing and wounding many terrorists and destroying their weaponry.
The source added that army units razed terrorists’ dens in Daraa al-Balad and killed several terrorists, indicating that they destroyed two vehicles with the terrorists inside in Majarra village, one of which was loaded with weapons and ammunition.
Syria was hit by a violent unrest since mid-March 2011, where the Syrian government accuses foreign actors, mainly the Saudi Arabia and Turkey, of orchestrating the conflict by supporting the militant opposition groups with arms and money.
Today hundreds of armed groups, including terrorist takfiri brigades affiliated with Al-Qaeda, are battling both the national army and each other, complicating any efforts to reach a political settlement.
