Lebanese Army Chief, General Jean Qahwaji, on Thursday inspected the military units deployed in Tripoli and its vicinities, to closely follow up on the implementation of a security plan devised to restore stability to the northern city.
During his meeting with the officers and soldiers, Qahwaji heaped praise on the efforts and sacrifices they had made, noting that the security plan the army is executing in coordination with the other security forces was welcomed by the citizens.
"It enhanced confidence in the state and the nation," he maintained.
"The army will carry on the implementation of the security plan until it is completed," he vowed.
He also called military men to intensify efforts and keep up with the upcoming challenges and due dates.
