Heavy rains that hit Al-Haymah Ad Dakhiliyah district had killed two women and a man from the same family late on Saturday, an official was quoted as saying by the website of the Yemeni defense ministry.
The official added that two other women from the same family were injured because of the rains.
Search for the bodies of the three victims continued for hours before they were finally found.
The source said the rains damaged large farm areas and roads in the district.
