Expounding on Iran's principled stance concerning Syrian issue and Iranˈs efforts to help settle the crisis, Zarif stressed that Tehran believes the sole solution for Syrian crisis is political approach and Iran will try in this direction through interaction and cooperation with other countries.

He also underlined necessity of efforts of international community to end war and bloodshed in Syria.

Zarif further appreciated Iran's support for Syrian people and expressed hope that the crisis ends soon and the region moves toward stability.
