World Cup 2014 will be broadcast on Tele LibanAfter weeks of talks and discussions, Lebanon managed on Wednesday to get the deal to broadcast the FIFA World Cup 2014 via the national television, Tele Liban.

The Lebanese people and all Tele Liban audience worldwide won’t have to pay a penny to watch matches and follow results. Broadcast will be free of any charge.

Earlier in April, a German broadcaster denied reports it will broadcast the tournament for free, thus forcing football fans in the Middle East to pay in order to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup legally.

The rights to air games in the Middle East and North Africa are held by beIN Sports, formerly Al Jazeera Sports, which charges new subscribers about $250 for an annual package of channels that includes games from the upcoming tournament in Brazil. (The network is offering a 20 percent discount until April 30.)

Al-Manar Sports Website will also provide browsers with real time coverage of matches, preparations and events.

The World Cup is set to begin in Brazil in a few hours.
