An Egyptian criminal court has sentenced on Friday three senior Muslim Brotherhood leaders to death.
The Brotherhood's supreme guide Mohammad Badie has been convicted along with senior members Safwat Hegazi and Mohammad El-Beltagi, as well as 11 others.
The sentences will be carried out pending the approval of the Grand Mufti, who has the power to approve or reject the death sentences.
Ahram Online reported that the charges in the case include inciting murder in relation to clashes that took place in August, after the president Mohammad Mursi was ousted from the presidency last year.
