Israeli occupation forces shot dead a Palestinian teenager during a military operation in Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank early Tuesday, as occupation air forces struck Gaza strip.
Palestinian Red Crescent medics said 16-year-old Yousef Abu Zagha was shot by Israeli fire in the chest during clashes with troops who raided the camp overnight.
Abu Zagha was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a public hospital in Jenin.
The killing came as the Zionist forces attacked the besieged Gaza Strip and the West Bank, hours after the bodies of three Israeli settlers were reportedly found near the town of Halhul north of the city of al-Khalil (Hebron).
Occupation forces also demolished two homes belonging to those the Zionist entity claims were involved in the killing of the settlers in al-Khalil early Tuesday.
Occupation government accuses Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, of being behind the killing of the Israeli settlers.
For his part, Hamas spokesman, Sami Abu Zahri, warned that if the Zionist entity uses the case as an excuse to act against Palestinians, it will face repercussions.
“[Benjamin] Netanyahu (Israeli prime minister) should know that his threats don’t scare Hamas,” Abu Zahri said, adding, “If he wages war on the Gaza Strip, the gates of hell will be opened.”
Israeli forces have killed several Palestinians and arrested hundreds of others, including Hamas members and lawmakers, as part of the military operations purportedly in search of the three settlers, whom Israel claimed had gone missing on June 12.
