Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the United States and the United Kingdom are officially supporting the murder of the oppressed children in Gaza.

Addressing a group of Persian poets from Iran, Tajikistan, India, Afghanistan and Pakistan on the occasion of the holy birth anniversary of Imam Hassan (as), the second Twelver Imam of the Shia Muslims, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined the bitter facts of the world today, such as the encroachment of powers over the people's independence, wealth, religion, moral and ethics, as well as reversing facts through the media domination.

Imam Khamenei pointed to the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, stating that "some world powers would make much ado about death of a pet in any point in the world."

"However, the latest attack on Gaza and slaughtering of more than Gazans, many of them innocent children and oppressed people, not only would not raise their sensitivities, but the US and UK are officially supporting such attacks as well,” his eminence added.

"Today's world realities lie in supporting the dominant forces without fear, and in supporting their dirty and corruption, along with opposing any cleansing and sacred action not in harmony with their interests," Supreme Leader went on to say.
