The American authorities told the Lebanese security services that the Syrian opposition groups would launch on the eve of the observance of al-Qadr night (last night) a wide-scale attack against Bekaa towns and villages to commit massacres and to kidnap dozens of men and security officers in order to swap them for the detainees in Roumieh prison, according to the sources.
It is worth noting that the Syrian army continued its operations against the militant groups on Qalamoun barrens, controlling a strategic position which would have been used by the militant groups to launch their assaults.
