Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived in  Beirut on Saturday to discuss the latest regional developments, particularly the Israeli bloody war on the besieged strip of Gaza.

The Iranian official is slated to discuss new ways for ending Israeli attacks on innocent civilians in Gaza with the senior Lebanese and Palestinian officials, Fars News Agency reported.

On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a telephone conversation with his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil discussed the latest developments in Palestine, specially Gaza.

Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza for 19 consecutive days, killing nearly 900 people and injuring more than 5,700 others.
