"Today an oppressed nation which has been displaced from its home and is attacked by the most destructive bombs and modern weapons are enduring much pain and agony," Rouhani said.

"What Gaza teaches us is that all of us, the Muslim world and the Iranian nation and all Muslims and the neighbors which live together in this region, should grow united and if we want to attain our wishes, we should give our hands to each other," he added.

President Rouhani also thanked the Iranian nation for their massive participation in the International Quds Day rallies in support of the innocent Palestinians who have been under Israeli attacks for the past 19 days.
