Hezbollah’s Media Relations reported the meeting in a statement released on Saturday, saying that Sayyed Nasrallah and Franjieh discussed developments in Lebanon and the region.
“During the meeting, general developments in Lebanon and the region were discussed, especially the Zionist offensive on the Gaza strip and the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people,” the statement said.
The two sides stressed on (the importance of) supporting the resistance and the people in Gaza, who are standing steadfastly against the Israeli aggressions, the statement added.
MP Franjieh was accompanied by his son, Tony and the lawyer Youssef Fenyanos, Hezbollah’s Media Relations said, noting that political assistant of Sayyed Nasrallah, Hussein al-Khalil and security official Wafiq Safa attended the meeting.
Concerning the Iraqi situation, Sayyed Nasrallah and MP Franjieh condemned the displacement of Christians of Mosul by the Takfiris, stressing on the “importance of defending the unity of Iraq, its sectarian structure and the political diversity,” according to the statement.
On the Lebanese developments, the two sides have common points of view regarding exerting efforts in a bid to safeguard political and security stability in the country.
