At the opening session of the ministerial meeting of the Committee on Palestine of the Non-Aligned Movement, Sheikh Rohani said that the continuation of the crisis in the Strip is due to lack of interest by the international community and its silence about the occupation crimes, adding that the United States and some Security Council members are turning a blind eye to the crimes of the occupation and defending the oppressor against the oppressed.
Moreover, the Iranian president called for a collective action to enable the Palestinian people of get their legitimate rights, pointing out that the Zionist entity has violated humanity and international norms by its aggression on Gaza.
For his part, the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said that the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip has been planned in advance "through the pursuit of the Israeli occupation to exterminate humans and crops in the Strip."
Maliki demanded the convening of an emergency meeting of non-aligned countries in order to put pressure on international institutions and the United Nations to stop the crimes against the Palestinian people.
Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil underlined that the cause of Gaza is "the cause of justice against injustice, and the cause of the child in front of the monster," saying the steadfastness of the Palestinians in Gaza is an eternal defeat of the Zionist entity.
Bassil said that according to the International Tribunal, the Zionist occupation crimes in Gaza are classified as deliberate.
More than 30 countries participated in the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Palestine of the Non-Aligned Movement in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Monday, to discuss the aggression on Gaza.
