Iranian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, have arrived in Belgium early Monday morning for talks with the representative of G5+1.
Zarif accompanied by Deputy-FM for Europe and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Deputy-FM for Legal and International Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, will have a working lunch session with Catherine Ashton in Bulgarian capital of Brussels on Monday, Mehr news agency reported.
The two sides are scheduled to evaluate the process of the negotiations to see whether they can achieve an agreement on a way to reach a comprehensive agreement on Tehran peaceful nuclear issue.
Iran and the 5+1 group – US, UK, France, Russia and China plus Germany – will have new round of nuclear talks on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear issue on the fringes of UN General Assembly which will kick off on September 16.
Catherine Ashton, the EU's top diplomat, is expected to continue to lead nuclear negotiations with Iran even as she leaves her EU job at the end of October.
The 5+1 will discuss ways to reach a comprehensive nuclear deal with Iran based on the interim nuclear deal clinched in November 2013 which ended on July 20 but the two sides failed to reach agreement to start drafting a final comprehensive deal and they agreed to extend negotiations until November 24.
