A roadside bomb killed ten people and injured other 30 in Kandahar province, southern Afghanistan."Ten dead, 30 injured have been admitted to the hospital", said Abdul Qayoum Pukhla, provincial health director of Kandahar.
The attack took place when a truck carrying road workers struck a roadside bomb in rural Panjwayi district, southwest of Kandahar city.
Panjwayi's district chief Fazluddin Agha confirmed the incident as saying: “Yes, there was an explosion killing and injuring road workers but I don't have the exact number of casualties”.
One survivor who did not want to be named said there were a total of 40 people on board the truck.
