The Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hussein Amir-Abdollahian on Sunday once again reiterated Iran's support for Iraq and Syria.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran was the first country to help Iraq in the fight against terrorism.
He noted that Iran is seeking a real fight against terrorism and that a double-standard approach towards the issue is not what Iran is looking for.
The Foreign Ministry official termed the US-led meeting recently held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism and ISIL as a show.
He said that participation in such meetings is not important for Iran.
