Iranian President Sheikh Hasan Rouhani said that Iran is the center of stability for the region, stressing that the Islamic Republic is not fearful of enemy pressures.

Addressing a military parade in Tehran on the occasion of the Sacred Defense Week, Rouhani said: “We are not fearful of the enemy pressures.”

"Iranians are a peace-loving nation that has, does and will never plan to invade any other country because we do not want to have more food at the table through launching war and manufacturing weapons like what is done by some western countries that gain more food for their table by (shedding) the blood of other nations,” the Iranian leader added.

Iran will continue resistance against pressures, relying on its own industrious efforts and economy, Rouhani said.

The Sacred Defense “is a lesson for us and the enemies to learn from” he said, adding that resistance against the well-equipped enemy pushed them back.

“Iran is the center of stability in the very controversial region Middle East.”

Meanwhile, Rouhani asserted that all the countries in the region stand against terrorism and the Islamic Republic of Iran spares no effort to help.  

He further assessed Iranian army as most 'powerful military system' in the region, which 'would not be intimidated by the enemies.'

Every year on the anniversary of the Sacred Defense Week, which commemorates the 8-year Iraqi-Iranian war, Iran Army Forces in a ceremony at the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini parade to commemorate Iranians' holy defense against invaders.
