The Lebanese army dismantled on Friday a bomb inside barrel near Arsal, the town which witnessed bloody clashes between the military institution and terrorists of Takfiri groups in the latest weeks.
Security sources told al-Manar that a suspicions barrel was found in Ras As-Surj in Arsal outskirts, noting that the army cordoned off the area, preventing people from approaching the place.
The sources said that military expert managed to remotely dismantle the bomb, noting that it weighed around 50 kilograms.
For its part, the Lebanese Army Command's Directorate General issued a communiqué, saying that at 12:00 pm the army grabbed hold of a bomb weighing 50 kg prepared for explosion inside a waste barrel.
The statement added that immediately an army unit cordoned off the area and dismantled it before starting investigations in this regard.
