Major Bahraini religious scholars condemned the provocative actions of the regime troops that assaulted and removed the Ashura symbols and summoned the orators.

The scholars noted, in a statement, that Ashura ceremonies have been in Bahrain for a long time and that Islam and Imam Hussein deserve a different manner  of dealing with them.

The Bahraini scholar warned the authorities against the "serious track" and stressed that the religious rites are stipulated in the constitution.

In the same context, the Bahraini regime troops continued assaulting Ashura symbols, including flags, slogans, and other items which are used by the locals to mark the anniversary in the different cities.
