A Lebanese army unit managed this morning to apprehend four Lebanese in the Akkar town of Mhammara for having shot military members previously, a communiqué by the army's guidance directorate indicated on Thursday.
The four are identified as Khaled Mohammad Chemali, Mahmoud Hussein Moussa, Ahmad Faraj Chemali, and Faraj Mohammad Chemali.
Munitions and weaponry were also seized.
LAF Arrests 16 Syrians
The Army Command - Orientation Directorate - issued on Thursday the following statement:
"As part of the ongoing security measures in search of suspects and wanted, army forces raided before noon today a number of places in the area of Masnaa - Bekaa where they arrested three Syrians on suspicion of belonging to terrorist groups, and 13 others for entering the Lebanese territory illegally.
Detainees were handed over to the competent authority for necessary action."
