The occupation military reported the attack, saying the woman stabbed an Israeli man near an Israeli settlement south of Bethlehem.

The Israeli suffered minor injuries in the stabbing at a major crossroads near the so-called Gush Etzion bloc, the army said in a statement.

"Security forces on site overpowered the suspect and transferred her for further medical assistance," the statement said.

The incident came as tensions run high between the occupation forces and the Palestinians in the occupied territories after Zionist extremists call for Jews to pray in al-Aqsa mosque, a desecration that is totally rejected by Muslims.
