A spokesman for the Islamic authorities that run the mosque confirmed the event, adding that the incident ended quickly.

For its part, an Israeli “police” spokeswoman claimed that following prayers Palestinian youths threw stones at the occupation soldiers.
“Police entered the mosque compound to disperse the youths”.

Few days later, Zionist settlers violated the holy mosque as they entered its compound on Tuesday, drank wine and smashed bottles on the floor.

The Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex includes several building including the Old Mosque. The entire Complex land is considered the third holiest site in Islam.
