US Secretary of State deputy spokesperson Marei Harf hailed the Egyptian efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis, expressing hopes that they will make a progress among the Syrian opposition forces.
Commenting on the Russian initiative, Harf stated that Washington supports every effort seeking to settle the Syrian crisis.
Answering questions about the Russian proposals, Harf expressed beliefs that every effort towards the political solution and to a sustainable compromise is useful.
