The Yemeni Presidential guards clashed with the popular committees in Sanaa.

A governmental official said that the clashes erupted at the presidential palace, the spokesman of Ansarullah movement told Al-Manar that the popular committees are securing the presidential palace.

Ansarullah revolutionaries had controlled the capital last September due to threats exposed by al-Qaeda-linked Takfiris to take control of several areas across the city.

Following the takeover of Sanaa, Ansarullah and the government signed a UN –brokered deal which led for the formation of a new government.
