The Syrian army will press ahead with crackdown against terrorist organization until terrorism is conquered, said Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Fahd Jassem al-Freij.
The minister’s comments came during a field visit, accompanied by General Command officers, to military sites and towns in the southern region that have been recaptured by the Syrian army, according to SANA.
Al-Freij, who listened to detailed accounts by the combatants on large-scale military operations in Damascus countryside, Quneitra and Daraa, hailed the army’s successive military wins being made in the southern region.
He considered the army’s achievements a foregone conclusion given its high morale, indicating that the battle with terrorism is one that is fought on behalf of all peoples who are defending their nations.
The combatants, for their part, pledged that they will make whatever sacrifices necessary for the dignity of the homeland.
