Obama Vows “Creatively” Engaging in M.E. Changes

U.S. President Barak Obama said that tactical disagreements were emerging between Washington and the Zionist entity, and indicated that both sides should take “creative” regional actions especially amid the Arab Spring.

In a statement he delivered Monday at a fundraiser for his 2012 reelection campaign, the U.S. president raised the “stalled peace process” issue, stating that “both the United States and Israel are going to have to look at this new landscape with fresh eyes… the Arab Spring had changed the context of regional diplomacy”.

"It's not going to be sufficient for us just to keep on doing the same things we've been doing and expect somehow that things are going to work themselves out”, Obama considered.

He added that "We're going to have to be creative and we're going to have to be engaged. We're going to have to look for opportunities where the best impulses in the Middle East come to the fore and the worst impulses are weakened”.

Obama further said that tactical disagreements will emerge in the coming months due to the steps taken for approaching the regional issues. However, he vowed that his administration will use “creative powers” for attaining peace.

In addition, the U.S. president pointed out that “both Israel and the United States are united on a broader vision for a secure Jewish state”, and said that despite the difficult and challenging period in the Middle East, “one inviolable principle is that the bond between the United States and Israel isn't breakable”.
