Syrian President Bashar Assad's Media advisor Bouthaina Shaaban considered, in an interview with Al-Manar Website, that the change of the international stances towards Syria is reflected only in media.
Shaaban noted that the processes of funding and supporting the terrorist groups fighting in Syria must be halted in order to counter terrorism.
She asserted that regional countries which back the militants in Syria must change their hostile policies.
The Syrian official also said that the international community must be concerned with implementing the UN Security Council resolutions pertaining to counterterrorism.
“Four difficult years have passed, during which the Syrian people have offered great sacrifices as the country was targeted with its unity, history, identity and coexistence… Targeting Syria is part of targeting the whole region which started since the US occupation of Iraq in 2003, aiming at fragmenting the Arabs and erasing their regional and international role,” Shaaban added.
Shaaban spoke of the relation between terrorists in Syria and the Zionist entity, saying they [Takfiris] are tools for this enemy who is benefiting the most from the war in the country.
