Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdollahian left Tehran for Moscow to review the latest regional developments with Russian officials, state-run IRNA news agency reported.
During his stay in Russia, Abdollahian is to meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and President Vladimir Putin's Special Representative in Middle East Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov.
In his discussions with top-ranking Russian officials, Abdollahian is to review major regional developments, including the ongoing situation in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Libya and Palestine.
Expansion of regional cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism also tops the agenda of Abdollahian's visit to Moscow.
