500 fighters in al-Daleih joined the Yemeni army and liberated the southern province from the takfiris.

The Yemeni army advanced in Lahj province, expelling the takfiris from the town of Shariha.

The Yemeni military also controlled the town of al-Karsh which lies 50 kilometers away from Eden province.

In this context, the US ambassador to Sanaa Mathew Toler said that overthrowing or arresting the outgoing president Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi is imminent.

Toler called on the US administration to take the necessary measures in order to reach a political solution in Yemen, adding that the date of Riyadh talks is late and that the conditions are "exacerbating fast."

30 Killed in Clashes in Central Yemen: AFP

At least 30 people have been killed in clashes between pro- and anti-government forces in central Yemen, tribal sources said Tuesday.

The Yemeni army and popular committees clashed with armed militiamen loyal to the incumbent President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi in Baida province late Monday, the sources said.

Hadi's militiamen booby-trapped two houses used as bases by the popular committees and ambushed several patrols, the sources added.

Meanwhile, clashes raged late Monday in Marib, east of Sanaa, where militiamen confronted advancing army troops, tribal sources said.

Hadi has been trying to cement his power base in Aden in an attempt to ignite civil war in the country, after he toppled the national partnership agreement signed by various political parties. He also called for military intervention from the United Nations under Chapter 7.

Ansarullah group, also dubbed as Houthis, has liberated the capital Sanaa from al-Qaeda operatives last September, and worked to restore security and stability in the attack-hit areas.

The powerful group issued the Constitutional Declaration, in a bid to avoid the power vacuum in the country following the resignation of Hadi and his prime minister.
