Iran’s chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Ali akbar Hashemi Rafsanjan cancelled his scheduled trip to Saudi Arabia, denouncing its assault on Yemen.
Ghodratollah Alikhani, Parliamentarian Advisor of Head of Expediency Council, told media today that Ayatollah Ali akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani will cancel his upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia in reaction to recent Saudi onslaught in Yemen.
Alikhani added that Hashemi Rafsanjani has in meetings with some officials on Saturday condemned the Saudi-led strikes.
Tens of warplanes belonging to a Saudi-led coalition, mainly from Arab countries, carried out strikes against Yemeni cities earlier this week which claimed lives of tens of people and injured dozens of civilians.
