"The ministry is coordinating with all concerned state agencies and ministries to facilitate the return of nationals who want to return to Egypt," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement, Egyptian authorities were in contact with Saudi Arabia and Oman in an effort to ease the return of Egyptian nationals from Yemen.

There is no specific estimate of Egyptians in Yemen. However, some reports recently put the number of Egyptians working in Yemen at 18,000.

Despite the large number of Egyptian nationals working in Yemen after fleeing the unemployment and hard lifestyle in their country, Egypt's Abdulfattah al-Sisi declared support for the Saudi-led military invasion against the neighboring country.

A coalition of 10 countries, including Egypt, led by the Saudi Arabia, launched on Wednesday a wide military offensive on Yemen, killing 20 civilians, wounding scores others and causing so much destruction.

Media outlets reported that Saudi Arabia has deployed "100 fighter jets, 150,000 soldiers and other navy units" for the military campaign against Yemen. It also sent 5000 takfiri terrorists to fight against the Yemeni army.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is known for training and funding takfiri groups and sending them to the conflict-hit zones in the Arab and Muslim world, including Syria, Afghanistan and now in Yemen.
