Hezbollah was represented during the session by Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah’s political assistant Hussein Khalil, Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan and MP Hasan Fadlallah. Finance Minister Ali Hasan Khalil, a political aide to Speaker Nabih Berri, also attended.

Future was represented by the head of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s staff Nader Hariri, Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk and MP Samir Jisr.

Sayyed Nasrallah last week said that Hezbollah would go on with the dialogue despite provocations by several figures within the Future movement.

“Within the Future movement, there were figures that firmly opposed this dialogue and sought to ruin it from its first beginning,” Sayyed Nasrallah said during a speech aired on al-Manar TV last Friday (March 27).

“We will go on with dialogue as it actually serves national interest and does not serve that of certain group.”
