Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah received on Wednesday the special envoy of the Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani, Sayyed Mortada Sarmadi and the accompanying delegation.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah received on Wednesday the special envoy of the Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani, Sayyed Mortada Sarmadi and the accompanying delegation, Hezbollah Media Relations said in a statement.

The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Fateh Ali attended the meeting.

Hezbollah statement said Sayyed Nasrallah and the Iranian delegation reviewed the ongoing events, including Iran's nuclear negotiations and the results that have been reached, as well as various developments in the region, particularly the situation in Yemen.

Sarmadi arrived to Lebanon on Wednesday where he met Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Tammam Slam, following his tour in the region including the states of Oman, Iraq, Tunisia, and Algeria.

The Iranian envoy also visited the tomb of Hezbollah martyr leader Hajj Imad Moughnieh in Beirut southern suburbs.
