The overnight strike hit a vehicle parked near the presidential palace in Mukalla, capital of Hadramawt province, witnessed said.
On April 14, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula AQAP announced the death of one of its ideological leaders, Ibrahim al-Rubaish, in a similar drone strike in Hadramawt.
Al-Qaeda has been exploited by a Saudi-led coalition in striking Yemen for around a month (March 26 - April 21).
The Saudi-led aggression claimed thousands of martyrs and wounded and caused much destruction across the Arab World poorest state.
