Senior member of Iran's nuclear negotiation team Abbas Araqchi says Iranian negotiators are willing to draft a comprehensive agreement with the G5+1 in next few days .
Araqchi said, 'Iranian negotiators have been engaged in a two-month long tough work, aiming to reach a comprehensive accord draft in few days.'
'We hope to reach a draft accord in next few days; though being a difficult task, it will serve absolutely as the first draft, being full of differential points, about which decisions should be made later on.'
He said the draft has a series of appendixes on which experts have also started work and details of the documents will be discussed as well.
Since Thursday, the drafting of it has started in New York along with the EU political director Helga Schmid, representing the G5+1, added Araqchi.
'Our goal is to attain an early draft and we will spend as many days necessary for the job in New York, benefiting from the chance available as a result of presence of all.'
Speaking to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Araqchi, who is Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, said the main goal behind presence in New York is participation in the NPT Review Summit. There were also meetings on nuclear issue on the sidelines, including with Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, the US State Secretary John Kerry, and the IAEA Chief Yukiya Amano.
The Iranian negotiation team has since Thursday been working in New York on draft of the final accord , that is expected to last until Tuesday. Formerly, Araqchi, and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi as well as Schmid had started drafting the document in Vienna on April 22.
